Volunteer work
Volunteer of the Czechoslovak Romani Union: what it means and what its duties are
Volunteering within the Czechoslovak Roma Union is aimed at supporting communities and improving the quality of life of Roma and the wider society.
Volunteers contribute their time, skills and commitment to various activities that have a positive impact on local communities. The main activities of a volunteer include:
Cleaning public spaces – Volunteers regularly organise cleaning events and help to maintain a clean and pleasant environment in streets, parks and other public places.
Tutoring children and adults – Provide educational support to children and adults. They tutor them in school subjects, help them prepare for exams or learn new skills.
Supervising children in leisure activities – Volunteers lead and organise leisure activities for children such as football, dance or boxing. They ensure children’s safety and encourage them to develop their talents and teamwork.
