Project objective:
The main objective of the project is to increase the educational level of children living in excluded localities in the Ústí nad Labem Region, improve their school results and support their motivation for further education. The project focuses on effective tutoring and support for children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds so that they can better succeed in the education system and gain equal opportunities for education.
Description of project activities:
Identification of the target group:
The project focuses on children aged 6–15 who live in excluded localities in the Ústí nad Labem Region and face disadvantages that affect their educational results. These are children who need an individual approach and support in coping with school duties.
Tutoring:
Organizing regular tutoring sessions in key subjects such as Czech, mathematics, English and science.
Tutoring is provided individually or in groups, with an emphasis on respecting the individual needs of each child.
Support for educational needs:
Children are provided with assistance in preparing for school tests, writing assignments and projects.
Ensuring access to educational materials, computers and the internet for those who do not have them at home.
Motivational activities:
Organizing educational workshops aimed at developing skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and self-presentation.
Supporting children in their personal development – for example, visits to libraries, cultural events and educational excursions.
Cooperation with families and schools:
Active communication with parents with the aim of involving them in their children’s education and providing them with support.
Coordination with teachers at schools to effectively link tutoring activities with the requirements of the school curriculum.
Involvement of mentors:
The project involves qualified and motivated mentors (volunteers, students of pedagogical disciplines or professional tutors) who provide individual support to children.
Main project outputs:
Improvement of school results of children in excluded localities.
Increase in the number of children continuing their studies at secondary and vocational schools.
Strengthening of educational motivation and self-confidence of children.
Creating a supportive environment that will help children overcome barriers associated with socio-economic disadvantage.
