International Roma Day
April 8th is a very special and significant day for all of us. It is International Roma Day, which we celebrate with pride and joy all over the world. This day is an opportunity to celebrate our rich culture, traditions, music and dance, which are an integral part of our identity. It is also a reminder of our common origins and history, which unites us despite the differences in our lives and ways of life.
Coincidentally, today is also Maundy Thursday, which is another reason to celebrate. The color green has a special meaning for us, as it is one of the colors of our Roma flag. This color symbolizes hope, renewal and connection with nature. It is a color that reminds us that we too have the right to freedom, equality and dignity like other people on this planet.
So let us celebrate this holiday together without hatred among us Roma. At this moment, we should forget all the differences and disputes that may divide us. Instead, we should focus on what unites us and what makes us strong. Whether it is our common roots, our pride in our culture, or our aspirations for a better life for our children and grandchildren.
At this time, we should also pay tribute to those who fought for our rights and for the recognition of our culture. Their courage and determination show us the way forward and inspire us to continue in their footsteps. Their legacy gives us the strength to change the world for the better and that together we can achieve great things.
So, on International Roma Day, let us celebrate together with joy in our hearts and hope in our souls. Let us unite in love and respect for each other and our unique culture. Wherever you are in the world, remember that we are one nation, one people, and that together we can overcome all obstacles and achieve our dreams.
